The neighbourhood: Located in fashionable Ahuriri but not disturbed by the night life (bar / restaurants) or Port noises. It's a 2 minute walk (1 if you walk quickly . . .) to a beautiful sandy beach where there is fishing and a safe swimming area. It’s a 10 minute walk along the seafront to some lovely cafes, bars, restaurants and galleries in Ahuriri. There is also an excellent boutique cinema, delicatessen and a mini-mart. Ahuriri Estuary, where you can see Royal Spoonbills and other migratory and resident water birds has a beautiful circular walking track (allow about an hour). Also just a few minutes drive from the Napier CBD, with its Art Deco architecture, MTG (Museum, Theatre and art Gallery), Ocean Spa hot pools and attractive waterfront cycle /walkway to the National Aquarium of NZ and beyond . . . Google “World Famous in New Zealand: Touring Hawke's Bay by bike” for a good news article on cycling in and around Hawke’s Bay on the Cycle Trails
