Very relaxing visit to a REAL working ranch with many animals, productive gardens, farm machinery and large split wood storage from property’s timber. All this, with views of the ocean in the distance! Our bedroom was spacious and the bed extremely comfortable. Breakfast in the room included delicious bread and jams made by Michelle, our hostess. The sitting room upstairs, a favorite refuge, was filled with a wide variety of interesting book titles, comfy furniture and a unique collection of old seltzer and other antique bottles. The hand-milled red beech floors throughout and the claw foot tub in the bath added special character to the farmhouse. Truly an authentic, memorable, and one-of-a-kind experience!

We enjoyed an amazing stay at a nice farm with with incredible hosts. Their farm is placed on a unique hill setting with beautiful views over the area. Off grid/autonomous, organic produce and comfy beds and living areas just made us feel at home! Plus we made friends with the sheep we were allowed to feed ;-) Simply awesome!

Loved staying on a real sustainable farm! the pigs (and other animals) were great and the location lovely - remote and still very close to Hokitika. Large room, delicious homemade banana muffins, granola and yoghurt. Our five-year old daughter was thrilled with the vast selection of toys in the room. Beds very comfortable.
